Nifty fell to 10,980 level, but managed to recover from the lows, which indicated that the decline got bought into. bulls are not losing their grip, while the bears are putting pressure at higher levels. It requires Nifty to hold above 11,111 decisively to extend its upward move towards 11,250, while a hold below 10,980 could attract selling pressure towards the 10,880 level.
On the option front, maximum Put open interest stood at 10,500 followed by 11,000 and 10,700, while maximum Call OI was at strike price 11,500 followed by 12,000 and 11,400. Fresh Call and Put writing was seen at all nearby strike prices, suggests indecisiveness as participants did not build any aggressive position on any side.
